STEEPS & BONE BROTH -
Bone Broth is highly nutritious, rich in iron, vitamins A & K, fatty acids, zinc & collagen (gelatin).
This is a great winter warmer, so try putting a glug of STEEPS into some warm bone broth and WOW it just takes the bone broth to another level giving it a real kick.
Bone broth is pretty easy to make if you have a slow cooker. Throw all the leftover carcass of a chicken (you can also use fish or beef bones) into the slow cooker dish along with some onions, carrots, salt, pepper & any seasoning you want to throw in. Cover with water, put on the lid and leave it for up to 24hrs. Of course don't forget to switch the slow cooker on to a low setting. Sit back & watch the magic happen.
When it’s done, filter off the liquid, let it cool & either place in the fridge or portion it up and put it in the freezer.
Or if you are pushed for time there are some great pre-made bones broths in the shops.
HONEY & LEMON TEA + STEEPS
If you're not feeling on top form, glands are up & you feel you might be coming down with something, hot honey & lemon tea is many people's goto home remedy. Try adding 10/15ml of STEEPS to it as well & it really does take it to the next level.
STEEPS & DIJON VINAIGRETTE
¼-½ (50-100ml) Cup of Olive Oil
20ml (1 Tbsp) of STEEPS One Shot
20ml (1 Tbsp) of Mustard (I prefer Dijon)
Pinch of ground pepper & sea salt
Combine all the above into a bowl & whip it all up with a fork. Hey presto your own vinaigrette, now just drizzle over your salad.
STEEPS FAT BURNER SOUP RECIPE
This is my goto recipe for the winter, an absolute life saver. This recipe will make a lot of soup. Wash all the vegetables, but do not peel them. Make sure you have plenty of those soup containers to fill up so you can bung the rest in the fridge or freezer.
This is all you will need, probably get everything for £10-12, bargain.
2 bunches of spring onions or 1 large onion /leek finely chopped
1 medium or ½ large cauliflower, divided into florets (include the green leaves)
2 medium / 1 large head of broccoli
125g (4oz) spinach or ½ small cabbage, chopped
1 large red, green or yellow pepper, cored, de-seeded and chopped
6-8 celery sticks
2-3 large carrots, thinly sliced
1-2 tsps. each of crushed cumin & coriander seeds (optional)
1pt of chicken or vegetable stock, preferably homemade
4-5 large tomatoes, quartered, or 440g (13oz) can tomatoes
Juice of ½ large lemon or 1 lime
A good glug of STEEPS
Finely chopped turmeric & ginger (how much you choose)
Small handful of coriander or flat-leaf parsley, roughly chopped
2 garlic clove, finely chopped or crushed (optional)
¼ - ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Place all vegetables except tomatoes in a large saucepan with the crushed spices. Add the stock plus extra water if necessary to cover. Heat gently until nearly boiling, and then add the tomatoes and the lemon or lime juice. Simmer the soup for 20-30 minutes or until the vegetables are really tender. Serve & add a 10/20ml shot of STEEPS.
If preferred, stuff the whole lot in a liquidiser and give a quick blast.
